Our Policies regarding Special Orders
Order Process
After selecting a style, the client will send in current measurements or come in for sizing. Our policies and information about fitting dates and fabric orders will be explained. After a twenty-four hour hold has been released on your account from deposit payment, construction will begin. Within 14-21 days, depending on level of construction we will arrange a second fitting and so on according to plan.
Design Layout
Customers are encouraged to present their own designs or select from many styles that are currently available in our source book and/or catalogs. If you would like for Mide’ to custom design the art for your garment please make those arrangements prior to selecting your fabric, so that the right textures can be verified before an order is placed.
Sizing
We suggest that clients have their measurements taken by their local tailor, dry cleaner, lingerie boutique or Mide’. If this is not possible, use a soft measuring tape and follow the directions below:
· Measurements should be taken over undergarments, Using a soft measuring tape.
· Bust/Chest: Measure at the fullest part of the bust.
· Waist: Measure the smallest part of your waist, usually about 1” above the naval.
· Hips Measure the fullest part of your hips approximately 9” below your waist
If your measurements run in between three different sizes (Example Bust 33-size4, Waist 27-size 6, Hips 38-size 8) go with the middle size of size 6. For maternity sizes, we will do our best to determine the best size and leave additional fabric for alterations. Alterations
For custom orders after final delivery or pick up has been processed, adjustments can be made for a flat fee of $25 an hour. To avoid this fee, it is strongly recommended to discuss any/all complications before delivery has been made. Once the Special garment leaves the Mide’ studio, it is deemed acceptable and perfect per specifications. After final delivery of the garment, it becomes an –as is- item and no further adjustments/alterations will be made unless our flat rates apply. We are further, not liable for alterations from other companies that perform work on our merchandise.
Payments
In some cases there are three prices given for an item, #1for ordering 6 or more pieces of the same style and color, #2 for per piece items and #3 for quick confirmation. To place your order, a 40% (forty percent) deposit is required along with the signed ordering policies. If the deposit is broken into two payments, to secure pricing, you must pay the remaining balance within 15 days or your discount pricing will be void. There is a 24-hour hold on all deposits, after which time the deposits made on the account are non-refundable. Final payment must be made on garment before merchandise delivery. Mide' currently accepts Visa, MasterCard, Personal/Business Checks, Cash in Person and Pay Pal.
